# Restricted Geolocations

Echelon has always taken extensive measures to prevent persons from the following countries from using the smart contracts through the frontend hosted at app.echelon.market. These measures include geoblocking ranges of IP addresses from prohibted countries including: USA, BVI, China, Cuba, Congo, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Myamnar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Venezuela, Yemen, Lebanon. Over time, this list may be expanded to include any country or geolocation.

Echelon also attempts to VPN block known VPNs from the above countries. When agreeing to the terms of service, users also attest that they are not in the above countries in order to interact with the frontend.
